Upon arrival at Muscat Airport, you will be met and assisted by our Memphis Tours representative. Then transfer from the airport to your hotel in Muscat.
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, head out to start your half-day Muscat city tour. The visit includes the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural landmark, and the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which showcases Omani heritage with a large collection of antiques, traditional Omani weapons, jewelry, costumes, household utensils, and recreated urban and rural environments. Take a tour through Old Muscat, surrounded by towering mountains and flanked by the 16th-century Jalali and Mirani twin fortresses, and stretching to the Flag Palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. A stop at Muttrah, the main port area, leads to an exploration of an old and colorful souk. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Muscat.
Meals: Breakfast.
After breakfast, head south across 8,000 square kilometers of sand to experience the true desert magic of the Wahiba Sands - a sea of constantly shifting sand. A drive through the stunning dunes is a must. Enjoy a dune buggy tour with 4x4 vehicles and camel rides. Later, visit a local Bedouin family in their home to get an insight into their lifestyle and share coffee and dates with native Bedouins. Just a short drive from the desert is Wadi Bani Khalid... is a lush valley. Enjoy a refreshing swim in its cool waters. Return to Muscat for an overnight stay.
